Triller video
During this project I learned many different things about video production. The biggest thing I learned was headspace. Headspace is the space above the subjects head while in the frame. You do not want to have too much or too little headroom in the frame because it will be awkward. I also learned about lead room, the 180 rule, depth, the rule of thirds and finally when to break the rules. Although I did not use most of these aspects in my video they are extremely useful if I ever want to make another video.
Freeze Frame Fan Art
I chose this video because I wanted a relaxing scene of sunflowers that was also realistic. I was challenged because I wanted to make the sunflower realistic but also to be fun. My strength was in the petals I think they turned out very realistic but unique. I used Artistic License in my piece by choosing to draw a bee next to the sunflower and choosing not to do the gradient as the background. My piece uses 3 elements of art the first of which was value. I used this element of art by using different shades of the same color to add depth and texture to my flower. Another element of art I used was shape. I used organic shapes in my art piece to create the flower. Lastly I used space in my piece. I used space in the form of the rule of thirds, as you can see the flower is on the left third and the bee is on the focal point on the top right.
